I'm okay with pics from the much smaller festival that I went to, since they don't show me 'showing off' in front of thousands of people. It's a bit like "Sure, I'm naked, but it's only among friends", so it's more about the context in which the pics are taken then about the number of people being able to see them afterward.

It's completely irrational, but that's how I feel. At least for now, but maybe I'll change my mind about that Burning Man thing in the future .
What you describe is similar to how a lot of people view the nude beach experience. A lot of folks go with friends or to see friends and want to be seen by them, show off their tan, tatoos, bods, piercings, whatever - but the more public aspects of the beach - incl strangers, clothed users, voyeurs, etc - don't appeal to them. In otherwords, they are definately not there for that and being seen by complete strangers is of no interest to them. I don't think its irrational, and since many others have expressed similar views, it seems a pretty typical attitude for many. It hadn't occur to me, though, that there was a tie in with festival nudity vs WNBR, for example, but I see your point. Your interest is clearly in casual nudity among friends, not exhibitionism. There is a huge distinction, but its one that often gets ignored when you're considering the larger events where both types of people occur together. Anyway, thanks for your thoughts -
