If you are using a mac, download and install Perian (you'll have to google it). Once installed, you will be able to open .flv files in Quicktime. You will have to open Quicktime first and open them using the "Open File" option. If you are using Quicktime Pro, you will also be able to easily save them as .mov files. There are countless other free ways of watching .flv files and others, but that's how I do it. Hope that helps.
