I was up at Gasworks Park a few weeks back and noticed that the famous entrance to the Park where I have taken so many of my pics has been significantly altered and landscaped. Why, I don't know. There will always be a little voice inside me saying "they did this because of Klondike and those other pesky photogs" but of course, that is ridiculous (probably....

Anyway, the area is now a lot smaller, and the little parking lot is being replaced by a grassy slope and a path. If they fence that off, that might restrict viewing somewhat. Last year, they attempted to keep a large area of pavement clear of onlookers anyway just so the partipants had room to manuever their floats, etc and disembark. Not a big deal, and since most of the action in recent years has shifted to the big grassy hill inside the park, thats probably where I'll be next year anyway...
