I have a question for you, Pedro. What percentage of Spanish people actually go nude at the beach?
I ask because years ago I asked a German the same question on Usenet and he basically said that only a small minority go nude at sea and lake beaches in Germany. His estimate was 10%, but that with a population of 80 million that is still a lot of people. He also said that most Germans would never think of going to saunas with compulsory mixed gender nudity because they are too bashful to be nude around the opposite sex.
When people say "nudity at the beach is common", that is a relativistic term. Ten percent is certainly more common than what you see in America with no nude or topless beaches within 1500 miles of me. But it doesn't come close to a majority.
I'm trying to get an idea of the percentage in Spain. I've seen a lot of nude beach vids from Spain and in those vids are a lot of "girl next door type" of women that you would never expect would go nude at the beach just by looking at them. And that's kind of what makes it so cool.
Also, I have to imagine that a tourist might be more daring and willing to go nude at the beach than a local who might be seen by someone she knows.
