That these are publicity stills is more likely than you might think. The movie was released in 1969, one year after the MPAA "M" rating was devised which allowed nudity in general-release American films. This was analogous to the current PG or PG-13 rating. The producers likely would have had the publicity photographer take the photos to publicize the film by touting its nudity or for promotion in the European market where nudity wasn't such a big deal, especially since this was a really big-budget Western for the times and had a lot of well-known stars in it.

Or maybe they just wanted to memorialize Julie Newmar's tatas, a laudable purpose if ever there was one.

Now, back to our regularly scheduled nudity.
