Default discussion: alternative to Rapidshare for posting vids

MSN Hotmail, which is now called Widows Live, allows you to store 25 GB online or free (they're marketing it as replacing the need for an external hard drive or flash drive). They call it Skydrive -- as long as you have a Hotmail (or Windows Live) account, you have a Skydrive account.

You can designated individual folders as "public" so that other people can see and download their contents.

I was thinking that from now on if I have a water marked vid, I could post it in a public folder on Skydrive. That way anyone can download it and they don't have to pay for a Rapidshare account or wait 3 hours to download the second part. The upload limit for files is 50 MB, so splitting a vid might occassionally be necessary, but that's no big deal.

I'm reluctant to give out my real Hotmail address because I don't want to be spammed and because my real name is associated with it. But the beauty of Hotmail / Windows Live is that it's absolutely free and anonymous, so I'll just set up a second account with a fake name, like John Smith.

Heck, I could even post my entire collection in one public folder so people can grad whatever they want, not just watermarked vids.

Anyone think that's a good idea? Anyone else want to try as well? I'm interested in people's thoughts.
