alphaboo, The best you can do is do a key-word search on a vid. If it doesn't show up, but someone later points out that it is a repost, most times they are just trying to be helpful and the mods will clean the board up.
Searching by the title of vids wouldn't be foolproof as often people change the names; searching by file size might be the best way to go, but that too can be altered quite easily.
The bottom line is that there is no way that you can keep track of everything posted here (unless your Alex) so don't worry about the whole repost thing, just do your best to double check and don't let this whole issue put you off posting, 'cause you've made some great contributions.
