Regarding the sideways pics; can't you just rotate using the operating system's bundled picture viewer tool? Windows XP has this and I assumed it was pretty standard issue regardless of the operating system...

they're fine until I upload them. I will test post a few more to see if anything works.
EDIT - here are five. I left rotated the last one before uploading. The others I did nothing to. For some reason, the fourth is fine...???
