The guy in purple pants was a homeless man, possibly inebrieted, who just got caught up in the excitement of the ride. He was just walking down the sidewalk pushing his shopping cart when it all happened. So he decides to try and give the riders high fives as they go by
Most just laughed and waved, but one topless girl took him up on the offer (second pic). Pretty funny...

I mean, Eugene is about halfway to the NORTH pole, not south
I think its great that no one here wants to miss out on the fun. If someone SOMEWHERE is having a ride, they're gunna ride too, come rain or sleet or snow!!
