Doubt you could play modern soccer in it, but boy - wouldn't playing in that add some realism to a Roman coliseum themed event?

As football, soccer is popular in several big cities throughout whole France, in some cities/regions especially in the Languedoc Roussilon (the great region by the Mediterranean see and the Spanish border) with cities like Nīmes, Narbonne and Perpignan, rugby is even more popular. Remember the world championships were held in France!!!
Those mentioned cities are all old historic cities with a roman tradition and for example Nīmes is having an old Roman coliseum in a good condition for their age. Also not forget to mention that this region is well known for their topless and nude beaches!!! (Cap d'Agde is in this region)
