I noticed that too. I think I know what the problem is.

When someone uplaods a JPEG to the forum, our software automatically makes a thumbnail of the photo. However, for some reason some photos are corrupt. I'm sure this isn't the fault of the original poster. I suspect some of the corrupt files may have come from yahoo groups and could be related to how yahoo reduces the quality and size of the photos posted to groups there.

Anyway when the forum software gets a JPEG and it can't make a proper thumbnail, it just posts a link to the photo. The photo you see should be identical in quality to the photo when it was uploaded.
