Hi guys, yes, I used IE7 when it all went wrong

I had a back up of
everything from a few months ago (but had problems re-loadig it at first due to software snags with the program for restore) and I now have my old HD as a slave and a new one fitted.
Still, my PC will not see my two year old HD (with some early stuff on)
and boot up, but I have been without that for 18 months anyway. This old one, I will eventually make another remote HD. I now think I have not lost any stuff.....just money!!
Thanks for your sympathy, more posts to come over the holidays, if I can locate all my old threads
