But beware when visiting a Banya (or Banja) and thinking visiting a Sauna: Sauna's are mostly between 60 degrees celsius and 100 degrees celsius maximum, depending on the type of the saunacabine, Banja's, especially the Siberian type's could be up to 120 degrees celsius. Those very hot banja's are, off course, also very dry otherwise no one can hold it out in such a hot cabin. I've seen on tv that the people after a session in a banja cool down in a hole in the ice and then drink a (selfmade) wodka/vodka.
