Hi Julia:

I certainly did not mean to imply that European women are sl*ts who enjoy flaunting their naked bodies or that American gals somehow have a moral superiority over European ladies.

I’m sure there are many women from the United States who would have no problem strutting around in their birthday suits in a public place, while there are many others who would want to crawl up in a ball and die at the very thought of being naked in public.

I’m sure the same is true for European women, Asian gals, Black ladies, etc.

That said I’m only talking in generalities when comparing American women to European women.

Also, I am going to assume Julia, that you indeed are a European woman and not some American junior high school male brat getting his rocks off on this adult message board pretending to be a tall beautiful European chick. Given the track record of the Internet I am probably making a mistake, but, for the sake of argument, I am going to assume you are genuine and that your story is true. That’s my decision.

First of all, Julia, you wrote that you did not want to wind up naked to begin with, so, simply put, you should never have wagered your bikini. Almost any American woman I know who says she does not want to be nude in public would never have wagered that tiny bit of fabric covering her naughty bits.

You thought you were making a safe bet, thinking no man would know much about women’s fashion footware. You failed to take into account the many, many foot fetishists (males) out there who know way too much about women’s shoes. So you simply made a bad bet because the risk was not worth the reward, at least in your case.

Second, I’m sure there are many American women who like you and your friend, would have paid off the bet. But I know of very few American women who would have left that pool area without their bathing suits if it meant coming to blows with -- or threatening to sue -- the men who had refused to give the clothing back.

American women, in general, would have gone to great lengths to convince the men to give them back their suits – many would have gone so far as to yell r*pe or would have got on their cell phones and called the police – before even considering hiking back to their rooms in the alltogether.

By the way, in the United States we have a name for guys who would do what those men did to you and your friend. We call them assholes. Any man who would deliberately cause a woman to suffer the stress and indignity of walking through a public place naked is a dickhead of the highest order.

You see, Julia, American women are the product of their Puritan ancestory. They are taught as very young girls to cover up and not show their boobs or privates, especially in a public place. (Thank God that despite that upbringing many of them grow up and display their nude charms anyway!)

European women, and men as well, are not as hung up on nudity as we Americans are. That I believe played some role in your decision to forfeit your bikinis to those jerks and instead walk back to your rooms, through the lobby, heads held high and hands held low over your tender regions.
