I received a recent reply to a new thread complaining that it was a repost and that there was no need for a new thread for it. So there are two choices:

Option 1: I can continue as I have been, uploading a lot of (I think) high quality stuff with the risk of occasional reposts

Option 2: I can hunt through existing posts checking for reposts and for a suitable pre-existing thread to put it it. This will reduce the amount of stuff I post as frankly I can't be arsed doing that.

Your call!
Some topics lend themselves well to ongoing threads, some don't. Nude beach pics such as the ones you posted don't lend themselves that well to ongoing threads because there are so many pics out there. No one should be expected to have memorized Sal32's "life's a beach" thread before posting. And if you had put your pics there, they still would have been reposts. So where are we...?

I think if the topic is pretty generic (beach pics, party pics, babes, teen antics, etc) go ahead and continue to start new threads. You wouldn't have been reprimanded by Stevin for starting a new one if the pics hadn't been reposts.

Otherwise, all I would encourage of members is that they be aware of what ongoing threads exist and on what topics. Bike pics and such lend themselves well to ongoing threads, and I'd be a little lost if everyone were to start a new thread every time they found a new bike pic. Same for many other topics. Often these are relatively narrow and well defined (WNBR 2008, naked musicians, naked pumpkin run, etc) Anyway, ongoing threads help reduce clutter on the board, and, as long as they don't get too huge, make finding stuff easier.

As for reposts - don't worry too much about that. it is a fact of life and every member posts them no matter how hard they try to avoid it.

BTW - my smart ass response to your thread was directed mainly at the title. I do apologize and I hope that you continue to post away without fear of such retorts.

thats my take,

Klondike
