I spent a few minutes talking to Jesse (the London WNBR organiser, he's an American BTW
) and he said that because of traffic problems 1000 riders in daytime London was about all the police and the organisers can cope with. Riding at night will encourage a lot more riders, but would it make such a big impact with half a million shoppers? I think not.
