I think your right. Religion is a big part of cencorship in the US . But times are a changin'. Used to be you couldn't say the word 'pregnant' on US tv. I predict in about 20 years that nudity will be common on american tv.

its amazing how you can have death and destuction on american tv but a nipple is a no-no ,nudity is the norm in the uk after 9pm thats when a "watershed" kicks in.
myself i believe its more to do with the america's strong belief in religion "in god we trust"
