Use MPlayer (Linux:
www.mplayerhq.hu, Windows:
www.mplayerhq.hu, MacOSX: mplayerosx.sf.net) to create vidcaps: run this: (mplayer -ao null -vo jpeg -frames 1 VIDEO_FILENAME). The created vidcap will be 00000*.jp*g in the folder you started mplayer from.
