I too would've love to have seen some taken by selftimer. My guess is that as soon as they got a camera in thier hands and they see themselves in the mirror they get all giddy and excited and start snapping away oblivious to the fact the camera has a selftimer
Anyway just be thankful that pics are taken at all and make it all the way to your pc
