For those that are "tally conscious" - you can both pick up and lose thanks due to this. Maybe it'll balance out in the end. Or you might even end up with more thanks than you would otherwise if you respond a lot to posts but don't post much yourself.
I sure hope there will be no "who got thanked the most competition".
Its easy to see what types of posts get lots of thanks, but I would hope that wouldn't influence what established posters put up on the boards. Just keep posting what you've always been posting and follow your instincts, not the crowds....
