When my first wife started (reluctantly) getting involved in nudism, I couldn't get her to put away the sarong around other people. Except to swim. Then the moment she got out of the pool she would wrap herself in a towel and put the sarong back on. That "tragedy" went on for a couple of years.
Then I made a friend at a club; and this friend had a girlfriend. Who had no inhibitions about hanging out naked. My wife and her "hit it off" right away the day we all met. And I could tell my wife was impressed with her naked confidence. At one point her sarong loosened up while we were all hanging out, and her boobs popped out. I could tell that she knew her tits were out; but struggled to cover back up in front of her. So she just let them hang free. I knew something was changing.
We then all agreed to meet up at a resort. We arrived first; and as usual I got naked and my wife wrapped herself in that darn sarong. A little later I saw our new friends arriving, and I alerted my wife. She got up, and saw them walking up to us, naked. And she immediately dropped her sarong. My jaw dropped as I watched my wife walking naked next to me to go greet them. Naked hugs were exchanged, we set up right by the crowded pool area; and never once did my wife show any discomfort about hanging out completely naked with our friends.
This is actually a fairly common story. A shy wife starts associating with a woman who is not shy; and she starts feeling like she should be naked too. Then when the opportunity presents itself, she just "goes for it."
That's the benefit of social nudism.
