One of my wife's last years of teaching, we went on a European architectural tour for seniors. This was no easy tour, we both had to take 4 week course, which we found fascinating, on middle European architecture. This was the best EU trip we has ever been on, the buildings were well selected, fascinating styles, Unfortunately, we we barely home, having traveled though 9/11, when the world came unhinged. Several of the students had no way to get home, so we housed and fed them.
We had a resourceful group, but bedding was in short supply, of the 18, 14 were female. We tried to respect everyone's privacy, but their student culture was more open than ours. We had 2 baths and a schedule, but a lot of swapping off. The students didn't seem to care if a guy was shaving when the were showering.
It was a difficult emotional time, the students learned a lot about their fellow citizens.
