A few years ago went on holidays with girlfriends family including mother, father, brother, sister and sister’s bf. When we got to the airport her mother handed out a bunch of old school disposable cameras with about 25 photo capacity each. She told us to make sure we use them all up over the next few days as that’s what her and my gf’s dad did when they went on vacation many years ago.

I had used these before but usually forgot about them before using up all the film and then left them too long to be bothered to get them developed. But this time because we all had them we were prompted to use them more.

As they were all the same model we had put tiny marks on them in pen to remember who’s was who’s. Despite these marks we were all convinced that at some point or other we had taken photos on someone else’s but at the end of the trip we made sure we each had our own back to get developed. I decided to get mine developed as soon as I got home so I didn’t forgot, and boy oh boy am I glad I did.

When I submitted the film to be developed I ticked a box saying I was happy for an online backup to be made as well as the USB copy the company sends. A few days after sending them off I got an email saying that the usb had been shipped however due to the nature of some of the images and online backup could not be stored on the camera shops servers. I had assumed this was an automated message everyone got and didn’t think much off it. Then… 2 days later the USB arrived and I plugged it in before anyone got home to check the images.

Turns out at some point the cameras had indeed got mixed up and apparently my girlfriend’s sister and her boyfriend decided to capture more then just the scenery on that trip. As I opened the folder on my computer 23 nice, family happy snaps and 2 pics of my girlfriends sister in the shower… I got rock hard immediately and let’s say I took care of the matter.

Of course I never mentioned this too anyone else but I do know that everyone got their cameras developed and that means my gfs sister and her boyfriend know that those 2 pics they took weren’t on their camera accidentally.

Maybe next trip I’ll return the favour to my sist in laws BF I he’s lucky.
