CHAPTER 19

Stupid, stupid, stupid! Ellie berated herself - how cold she be so stupid? Too stunned to cover up she had been a nude deer in headlights. She had looked right at what was obviously a camera on that drone; for a few seconds at least, whoever was flying it could see her face, her bare breasts, everything!

Finally reaching a regular sidewalk Ellie started to run faster but then caught herself and stopped, too stunned to move. The whole time she had been walking past the lake she had been looking down, lost in thought. Getting caught by the drone had been shocking enough that she didn’t realize what had happened, but now that her brain had a chance to catch up, she found herself staring at the edge of her neighborhood, a neighborhood where she knew many if not most people, and she was about to run through it stark naked...

In broad daylight.

Shit, what time was it??? She had just seen the sunrise starting but it hadn’t been an hour, had it? Fumbling with her phone, forgetting she was out in the open, she saw it was only 6:15am, 15 minutes after she had last checked the time. She still didn’t understand why it was so much lighter at home, but clearly the sun wasn’t about to reverse course. She’d have to make her way home past her neighbors while -not- under cover of darkness.

“Holy shit!”

Ellie screamed at the sound of a voice coming from behind her and involuntarily spun around so the person couldn’t see her bare ass, realizing a second too late the person could see more of her including her face.

“Hey, I know you!”

“Wh-what??”

“Yeah, you used to babysit me - hi Ellie!”

Oh, God, someone who knew her? Some KID who knew her???

“Um, why are you naked?”

“Please, please don’t say anything to your parents!”

“Oh, I won’t tell my parents - they probably wouldn’t believe me anyway. I’ll probably just tell my friends. They probably wouldn’t believe me but I got a picture of you before you turned around. Um, can I take a picture of you from the front?”

“What?? NO!!!” Ellie knew what was coming and knew she didn’t have a choice - she threw her hands up in front of her face just as the kid snapped (another) picture of her with his phone, letting him see every other part of her body, knowing it was going to be passed around. She prayed he wouldn’t be dumb enough to show the picture to a parent. She didn’t think about the possibility that he might show it to an older sibling…

“I’ve gotta go finish delivering papers - by Ellie!”

Through her fingers that were still covering her eyes and nothing else, Ellie saw the boy ride his bike past her and turn right, less interested at his age in her body than in earning money.

She tried to calm down, tried to get her breathing under control, but all she could think was that she was naked in the morning sun, with no place to hide other than the trees of people’s yards which wasn’t an option. As she stood there she turned in all directions to see if anyone was approaching. While there was no one close by, she could see a car in the distance, crossing a street but not coming toward her.

Ten blocks. That was about how far she figured her house was, ten blocks. Like a runner at the starting gate she took a breath, put her hands over her breasts and pussy, and started walking. She was exhausted from not sleeping and, well, everything else that had happened, and walking all this distance with no shoes had taken a toll on her bare feet. As much as she wanted to run, she wasn’t sure that she could, so she started to walk.
