I imagine she went to Japan on holiday and was somehow persueded to participate. Perhaps on the premise that it would only be shown on Japanese TV. (At the time of recording, that might have been correct.)
I really enjoy the fact that she is embarrassed. she is really trying to make it work, even doing a little sexy dance during the musical chairs act. When she is called back when she is eliminated, she tries to act casually but we can feel the embarrassment.
