Old boyfriends, big and small, how do I measure up to them? I know my wife had many boyfriends before me, I even knew a few of them. One thing I was curious about was her black lovers. I had no idea who they were or even what they looked like.
That changed several years ago when her and I were going through a box of old photos, and I stumbled upon an envelope of her old pictures. One was of her was in a bathing suit with a black guy. The first thing I noticed was how much bigger he was than her and how muscular and he was, he was ripped! When I showed it to her, she yanked it out of my hand and told me she had forgotten about him. She told me he was an old boyfriend, but I never saw the photo again. I immediately felt jealous and had weird thoughts like how smart he was, how he looked like he was tougher than me if it came to a fight and if she ever compared my far less impressive body to his when we made love. Was he or black men like him a still a threat, even this many years later? I also wondered if she's got over him yet. My mind's eye was filled with imagined images of her with him.
