I used to take my sailboat from San Pedro (in LA County near Long Beach) to the Catalina Island Isthmus for weekends. I had dinner in the (only) restaurant, then went next door to the (only) bar for a nightcap. I started chatting with a lovely lady, and it turns out that she was tent camping as part of a Sierra Club outing. When we finished our drinks, we wandered around, talking to some of the off-duty staff at their lodgings, then I asked if I could walk her back to her tent. She agreed, so off we went. She told me that if we kept talking we would have to do so quietly, since others in the campground were asleep.

We got to her tent, shared a first kiss (intended by us both to be a goodnight kiss) that turned into something more. I went inside with her, and we were both naked and in her sleeping bag exploring in another minute. She told me that we could do this, as long as neither of us made enough noise to wake the folk in other tents. So we had a slow, comfortable fuck, as though this was the thousandth time for us. Very nice, even though not toe curling. When we were done, she shooed me away, saying that I couldn't be there when people started waking up.

So I left and walked back to the pier, only to find that the water taxi had stopped for the night. No problem, since it was only a little chilly, and I wandered around the isthmus to find a place to snuggle in for the night. Along the way I saw that the same employees we had talked to earlier still shooting the breeze on their deck. They remembered me and asked me where my friend was. I told them that I saw her back to her tent and was going back to my boat, but that the taxi wasn't running. No problem, one guy volunteered to take be back in his dinghy. I thanked him and offered to pay him, but he refused my money. By the time I got up the next morning the campers had packed up and left on the ferry to Long Beach. Unfortunately, I didn't get her number, and I'm not sure that I remembered her name. But that was a mind blowing and unexpected evening.
