I wonder if the lack of toplessness these days is down to the ubiquitousness of mobile phones with cameras. Maybe, women just don't want their tits to be photographed.

On our first holiday together, my future wife happily went naked on beaches in Fuerteventura. She didn't seem to care about strangers seeing her. Yet as soon as I got the camera out she covered up. I guess she didn't want to risk any of our friends or family seeing photos of her nude.

The woman I was with in the nineties invariably went topless on foreign holidays, but never in the UK. I remember once in Tenerife, also our first holiday together, a young woman asked if we minded if she joined us on the beach. She clearly didn't feel safe on her own. Then she went on to tell my girlfriend that she wanted to sunbathe topless, but had left her friends because she couldn't do it in front of guys she knew. Apparently, she wasn't bothered about me as I was a stranger. My girlfriend replied that she'd die if any man she knew back home saw her boobs.

They were both very different from the other girlfriend I mentioned in a previous post. She had no qualms about stripping off in front of friends or strangers alike.
