We were at Pine Tree Associates, a well-known nudist club near Annapolis, and ran into one of my work colleagues and his wife. First either of us knew we were all nudists even though we had known each other for years.

Later, i asked Andy, the husband, how he and Anne had gotten into nudism. They were both from California and on a lark one weekend decided to go to Treehouse Fun Ranch for one of the competitions. There were both clothed and nude spectators and after a while they felt comfortable enough to return to their VW van and leave their clothes there. After the competition, they met several of the contestants and other nudists. They were invited to stay for part of the evening and so they did. They loved it and went to some of the impromptu parties that sprang up. That started their nudist journey. Andy was a few years older than Anne, who was a 5'6" slender brunette...very attractive.

Shortly afterwards, unfortunately, they moved to Colorado and over time we lost contact. Years later, while speaking to a long-time member of Pine Tree, I mentioned Anne and Andy. She raised an eyebrow and asked how well we knew them. I told her the story of knowing them from work for years but running into them at Pine Tree, which was a surprise. She said they were among the most active swingers at the club and that Anne, for obvious reasons, was one of the most popular members. After she told me that, I remembered some of the things Andy had told me about their nudist journey and realized he had been dropping huge hints that they were swingers but I was too naive to pick up on it. As with many nudist husbands, he really liked seeing Anne nude around others and was glad she was such a confident and enthusiastic nudist and exhibitionist.
