Hello… American girl living in Germany with German husband. I’ve only gone to the textile free sauna once with my husband, and I guess you could say I had an out of body experience. I’m a really really shy girl so my coping mechanisms kicked in and really kind of made it so it all felt like a fever dream afterwards. The day we went to the sauna, 90% of the patrons were men over the age of 60. Some of the time it would just be here and I in a sauna, and then some older man. Which I actually didn’t mind —But ever since that day, I’ve been fantasizing about going back again, perhaps on my own. I’m a really possessive/territorial person so I think going with my husband is a little too much for me. Not to mention how hard it is for me to not see it in a sexual way given my American upbringing. Anyways, I guess I’m coming here to live vicariously through all of the stories , and also get a sense for how normal it is for a young women to go to the sauna by themselves. I’m 23. And a shy exhibitionist.
