A lot of first-time nudist resort stories are very similar.
My wife's first time was basically "Ok I'll go with you but don't expect me to join in." But then she saw other nudist women and was impressed by how comfortable they seemed being naked around other people. So her mindset shifted to "if THEY can do it...so can I." In no time she was walking around the crowded pool area naked; and enjoying every minute of it, interacting with people while being completely naked in front of them.
In the aftermath, she did admit that the experience of being seen naked by all these people had been "thrilling." The positive looks she had gotten had boosted her confidence. Which she had not expected at all when she first set foot in the resort.
