At the risk of screams of racism, this is an increasing problem. At Australian nude beaches, men from cultures where women typically, or are required by law, to cover their full bodies, now consistently turn up fully clothed and parade up and down up staring at naked women. If they see a naked lone woman they often lie inches away, fully clothed or sometimes in their underwear, but never ever naked. They pull out their phones and pretend to make calls, and many have been caught taking pics. On one occasion I went for a 5 minute swim only to return to such a man sitting inches away from my naked partner. When I shooed him away he quickly became aggressive, saying it was his right because the beach was clothing optional. I assume its a cultural problem stemming from a what I assume is a lack of respect for naked women.
Remember when WNBR forums used to have well over 100 pages? Now they barely hit 30. The fun has disappeared for many and now women seek the safety of gated naked areas away from these dirty leering pervs. However even in such a place - a Thai naked resort (Harmony) - one manage to get in, park his wife in his room for 2 days, and walk around with his towel on constantly sitting next to or attempting to talk to my naked wife. Her responses were polite at first and then blatantly “leave me alone”, but his focus got to the point of harassment. His behaviour was constantly called out by the owner, but wasn’t kicked out. Presumably because he was checking out the next day
We can pretend this problem doesn’t exist or call out the behaviour. We can start by getting rid of the term “clothing optional”, and just have nude spaces. If you want to wear your clothes, go to the 99.9% beaches and spaces where clothing isn’t optional.
