I believe it.
The one event that set my course happened before we had kids. A cousin came over with her baby for a visit. As soon as she arrived she asked if she could use a bedroom to breastfeed privately; no problem. An hour later she emerged, noted the time, and went home.
I decided that if I wanted a social life (and not be laughed at 30 years later) I'd need to get comfortable breastfeeding in public.
And yes, sometimes a bit too comfortable.
It was an opportunity to be daring and admired in an "innocent" situation.
