The latter was ultimately the reason why my wife started shaving again. She had a full bush for years, and that was actually because I wondered how it would look like and I asked her to grow it out.
She had gone to the gym before, but always on her own. During covid, she didn't go to the gym but resumed it afterwards, and now for the first time together with some friends. They would see each other in the changing rooms and my wife was the only one with a bush; her other friends were fully shaved or had a landing strip.
There wasn't any real social pressure from her friends. Obviously, they noticed the bush and were interested why a woman in her mid-30s had a full bush, but they accepted her initial explanation that I liked it and according to my wife she never received any negative comment. Yet, she felt the outlier in her group, and she liked the shaved look of the other ladies. She started talking to me about the idea to start shaving again. She hadn't shaved for about 13 years, but she wanted to give it a try and at first she thought about the landing strip, just like one of her friends.
To be fair, I liked the bush and I wasn't a big fan of the idea of her shaving again, and I told her that. I was used to it after such a long time. Yet I didn't want to force her to keep it, it's ultimately her body and her decision.
Anyway, she decided to pursue with it. As shaving a nice landing strip turned out to be a bit of a hassle with a full bush of long pubes, she ended up shaving everything off, so she was bare again for the first time in 13 years and she liked it immediately. Her friends in the gym complimented her with her new look. I had more issues adjusting, especially the first couple of weeks I really missed the bush and I was a bit annoyed that she did put so much effort in it to keep it smooth, shaving it every day and telling me that she had no plans on growing it back anytime soon. She told me she would keep it bare at least all summer long.
Well, that turned out to be longer. She started shaving one and a half year ago, and has kept it smooth ever since except for a short period of some three weeks last year before summer, as she wanted to try a wax for the first time and for that you need to grow it out a little. She apologized to me for being hairy when I performed oral on her a week before the wax. 🤣
But it seems she now likes the bare look, I recently asked her if she could see herself ever growing out the full bush again, and she told me that while she knew I liked it, she absolutely didn't want to have a full bush again. Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy her smooth pussy now, it feels great and it looks great.
Last weekend she started talking about laser hair removal, she wants this for her underarms and legs and she now also considers getting her pubic area done. We have the money and I don't mind it for her underarms and legs, and I understand how convenient it can be, but I don't like the idea that it's so permanent when it comes to her pubic area. The idea that she would never be able to grow out a bush again... I don't know if I can get used to it. Unlike shaving, it's such a definitive decision and I don't really know how I feel about it. Maybe I need to get used to the idea. I don't want to tell her what she can and can't do with her body and on the other hand it's such a permanent change and I always liked her bush when she had one.
