Noticed today that there was an update at some point recently, and now the "Make URL links clickable" checkbox is not checked by default when we post in the Links forum section, but is checked by default in the Photos and Videos section. Nice compromise solution that will probably prevent most of the hotlink problems but not add an extra step most of the time when we link to other OCC posts.
