Being a naturist, I'm pretty comfortable being naked in public situations (in a naturist context).
However sometimes you genuinely forget about your own nudity. I'm also an open water swimmer, and I recall one evening where I was chatting other (female) members of the group as we were dressing after a (swimsuited) dip in a lake.
They were wriggling in and out of clothes under a 'poncho' style cover-up, or wrapped in towels and turning away as they put bras on and so forth.
I was half way home before I realised I'd been standing drying myself bollock naked without a care in the world, and not one of the ladies (three of them) were shocked, surprised or remotely put out by this not deliberate but equally not accidental nudity on my part. I was just doing what I always do...not even consciously aware of what I was doing.
One benefit arose from it: my 'accidental' nudity seemed to make the ladies realise that there was nothing to be so coy about, and I was treated (and still am) to an array of bums, tits and pussies casually displayed at swimming events. They seem to have realised that not bothering with ponchos or towels makes the act of getting dressed far simpler and quicker and more practical.
