Allowing Pubes in Magazines

After the Supreme Court decision in Sunshine Book Co. v. Summerfield (1958) magazines were allowed to show more explicit nudity, at first wholesome nudist and then many explicitly sexual in nature. By the early 1960s both types of magazines became widly available in the "adult" sections of news stands and by mail.
