The fourth category is often pegged as exhibitionism; although I've found this to actually rarely be the case - especially at resorts/clubs.
Sometimes it's philosophical. Some women believe that there should be no "double standard" between men and women. Men's genitals are openly visible; and if they can lounge with legs open, women should be able to do the same. And if someone is "hot/bothered" by it, they see it more as a "failure" on their part; and will choose to exercise their "right to be uninhibited" - and not hide.
We have a friend who is in that category; and I have to admit it can be hard to have a conversation with her when she's very purposefully choosing to keep her legs open the entire time!
Sometimes it's to demonstrate confidence. On her second resort trip, my wife was laying next to a woman who was tanning with her legs open; and she decided to follow suite. It was more because she was trying to prove to herself - and others - that she could also be uninhibited. But it didn't stick because it didn't feel natural to her. I've seen newbies do the same; and you can usually tell it's "not for them" as their eyes are constantly darting around to see who might be looking.
And then sometimes it's just vanity. Some women have manicured pussies and want to make sure everyone knows! That comes pretty close to exhibitionism; but not in the sense that they're aroused by it.
Anyway, that's been my observations!
