Lightbulb I disagree

Fango,
I disagree...information as an industry is inescapable; how Rapidshare widens their margins verse how MegaUpload widens theirs is splitting hairs. Allow me to explain, Rapidshare gets you on the way out, i.e. they get you on the download and their hook is that the upload is free up to 100megs. On the other hand MegaUpload gets you on the way in, on the upload but doesn't rake you as hard on the way out, i.e. it is easier to download more from MegaUpload without paying. Both sites draw is there "free" status but both are far from that. 100megs is nothing to do cartwheels over and neither is more free downloads per hour. Rapidshare makes you go through multiple gates to get to your free download and so does MegaUpload, the only difference is Rapidshare's gates are not pop-ups but posted adds, less annoying yes, but the same devil in a different dress non-the-less. The bottom line is this; bandwidth costs money, servers and maintaining those servers costs money and adds, in whatever form, pay for those expenses. I prefer MegaUpload to Rapidshare for the simple reason that MegaUpload's growing popularity should keep Rapidshare in check and eventual cause a mutual drop in pricing for survival as the need increases.
