I would say group 2 tends to be the largest and is marked by a natural but proper seating position which generally exposes 20-60% of the upper portion of the vulva with the remainder obscured between the thighs.
Some are uncomfortable with that level of exposure on that particular day or with that group of people and so move themselves into group 1. You found the perfect example image. Another common one is legs straight out, knees together, ankles crossed. Result is 0-20% exposure. When a woman sits like this all day, it’s patently obvious she doesn’t want to be “seen.”
Group three is fully relaxed as you have shown, 100% exposure or perhaps moving between 80 and 100 all day. However, even this group can still be hyper aware of their exposure — example the sunbathers. Some will very meticulously arrange themselves to ensure 100% body exposure to the sun but then constantly check and adjust themselves to ensure they remain legs open but lips closed.
The final group is the smallest but obviously making a statement. Either to themselves or to the group. Some will find a quiet corner to lay like that while others will pick a very prominent spot and even keep their eyes open and try to see who’s looking
