Agreed.
It's a spectrum. On one end of it, some nudist women choose to "keep it private" and keep their legs closed/ankles crossed while sunbathing (like the first pic). On the other end, some want to achieve a "seamless tan" by spreading out; and decide to proudly/confidently ignore how "exposed" they happen to be in the process (like the last pic).
I've found that most nudist women at my resort are actually somewhere in the middle; in varying degrees based on comfort level.
And they are well aware (unless they happen to be asleep) of the choice they've made. My wife has talked about feeling the breeze and sun hitting her vulva (and sweat tickling her clit) when she's sunbathing legs open; so there's no doubt that there are sensations involved in being exposed that are undeniable.
My wife will tend to pick and choose how exposed she is depending on who is around. Normally, she will be reclining in a position that approximates the second pic. But if there are few people around she'll get more comfortable, as in the third pic. If someone walks by and starts talking to us; if she knows them she'll often choose to just stay as is. If not she'll adjust so that her exposed pussy is not right in front of their faces. In short, like most of the women at my resort, it's a conscious decision based on their comfort level at that time, in that particular situation. We also know completely uninhibited women that just don't care; although they are not "the norm."
