I think that's the issue for me. If a picture is upscaled and there are little imperfections, maybe a bit of text on a poster on a wall that is out of focus or comes out as garbled on the upscaled image, but the main focus of the image is unaffected then I have no issue with it. But when it starts to mess up peoples faces or bodies I find it distracts more than it enhances.
