I had done it some years ago when I was a student.
I had some money problems, and one of the girls living in the same shared flat told me about an ad about nude modelling for an artist.
She knew I had no problem being nude as, most of the time, she had seen me in the bathroom in the morning or evening, not even trying to hide.
I told her I would be in trouble for the next rent, and that's how I answered the ad.
This first experience as a nude model was not the best one. The painter was, in my opinion, more interested in sex than in art.
I felt uneasy before him while drawing sketches, and he asked me to change positions quite often. When he asked me to open my legs wide, I told him I didn't want to.
He paid me half price, and I left, frustrated but also relieved to leave him.
I told my flatmate about it, and she offered to look at another possibility for me as she had studied art and knew the field well.
A week later, I was again acting as a nude model, but this time in a private art institution.
It was pretty well paid, and even if being naked among something like 20 or 30 people was not so easy the first time, I was more secure than just with one man as before with that painter.
I did it for some months before getting a part-time job as a waitress that helped me stop doing nude modelling.
I was never annoyed by any of the students present during my nude sessions, but I was glad to stop all the same.
Being naked in the middle of clothed people detailing you and looking at your body is quite a unique experience. I've never really got used to it.
Being naked on a beach is something natural for me; I don't even think about it, but being nude on a table in the middle of these students, however friendly, was something else, especially when I met them outside the college; it embarrassed me.
My advice to you, if you need money and are offered to pose nude, is to only do it in university settings, never privately for an artist, unless, of course, you know them well.
