This explanation is in response to the several private message requests from our Living Nude Stories readers wanting to know what we mean when we say "Fooling Around".

In the 1960s my wife's college professor parents develoed a liberal attitude regarding sexual behavior. As full time nudists their family ( parents and daughters, Julie and Becky ) were always nude at home and for most social gatherings. Since incidental contact occured frequently they defined different levels of bodily contact and what it took to raise it to the level of sexual contact. In short, contact with someone's breasts, butt or genitals was considered sexual only if it was intended to cause sexual arousal.

Incidental Non Sexual contact was the type that happened while hugging, dancing, physical play, or by simply working in close quarters. Functional Non Sexual contact occurs when applying lotion, grooming or massaging. These types of contact could include handling of the butt, breasts or even the genitals and could occur at any time without restriction. For non sexual contact they made no distinction between an elbow, knee, ear, breast or penis. A good example of these types of contact is this lotion application story.

Sexual Contact was divided into: Manual ( petting ); Oral fellatio ( blow Job ) and cunnilingus ( eating pussy ); and Sexual Intercourse ( fucking ).

Within limits manual and oral sexual contact were considered "Fooling Around" and a common part of foreplay. This level of sexual activity was considered innocent expermentation and a way to satisfy sexual curiosity. These activities were considered a good method for the girls to gain sexual experience while maintaining their virginity.

Passionate hugging and kissing, caressing or suckling the genitals or breasts, and genital "visiting" were considered "Fooling Around". Visiting was genital to genital contact, allowing the penis head to slide up and down the labia but not to enter the vagina.

The limiting factor that kept these activities at the "Fooling Around" level was that vaginal penetration or ejaculation were not allowed. Either of the two would immediately raise the activity to the Sexual Intercourse level.

The woman was allowed to reach orgasm while "Fooling Around". Keeping their activity at that level required a lot of dicipline and self control by the male, attributes the girls admired.

Their parents suggested that Becky and Julie date several suiters and use "fooling around" to evaluate and eliminate those undiciplined and lacking in self control, as they would be a future source of frustration. Kind of like test driving without actually going out on the highway. The girls were encouraged to enjoy themselves while gaining their sexual experience but to remain virgins for their the sake of their grooms.

There were sexual activities that were considered disrespectful, demeaning and dominating of women. These included anal penetration, foreign object penetration, and bondage or use of physical force and any other activity designed to be degrading to women. These disgusted the girls so they and their parents pledged to never participate in such activities.
