I turned 18 back in the mid-90s, before pussies in porn became completely, 100% shaven, back when the “landing strip” was standard more or less in Playboy and in porn. Women rocking the same bush these days would be deemed “hairy” and fetishized.

Not long after I turned 18, a few of my buddies who were also 18, decided to go to a strip club. AT that time, a trip to the strip club when you turned 18 was pretty much a rite of passage for dudes growing up in the 90s.

It was an all-nude, “juice bar” (i.e., no booze). I was a bit shocked/perturbed that every stripper in there seemed to have a fairly small landing strip for pubic hair. I guess I was naive, but I had expected to see a little more variety in terms of pubic hair styles and instead they all looked identical. Maybe one or two had a trimmed, triangle bush, but by far most did not. By today’s standards they would all be considered to have a bush. But by my standards, they were sorely lacking in the pube department.

Disappointed as I was, I still had a great time and still vividly remember my first lap dance and being turned on, regardless of the fact the chick’s bush wasn’t as hairy as I’d have preferred.

I recall seeing a sign at the strip club for an upcoming “amateur night” and thinking I should come back then as there’d likely be more hairy vaginas. Ha! I was that naive, I thought “normal” as in non-porn women basically all had full hairy bushes and that only prostitutes or porn stars trimmed their bushes. Again, totally silly in retrospect.

At the time, I wasn’t even aware that I might have what would be deemed a “fetish” for full bushes. I just stupidly thought that most of the women I encountered in my daily life had hairy vaginas. As I became more sexually experienced—and the march toward hairlessness continued unabated—I sadly learned that, at least among sexually active, college-aged women, the full bush was an endangered species.
