When I was young, I never gave pubic hair too much thought. Sure I liked it, but there wasn’t a lot of variation among the women and girls whom I’d seen naked. They all had full natural bushes.

I still have pictures of my girlfriend from that time. She shaved her arm pits, but never did anything with her pubes even if she was going to be naked on a beach. By today’s standards, her bush was a straggly mess. She even left a few hairs growing round her asshole. Her razor and scissors never went down there.

Although it didn’t occur to me at the time, my next partner clearly tended her lady garden with special care. There was no straggly hairs anywhere down below. Above, she had a vast expanse of uniform and tidy short curly pubes that I loved. They were still dark and hadn’t gone grey like much of the hair on her head.

By the time I met my wife, women were much more open about their grooming habits. I’d see her shaving around her labia and up the sides of her bush in the shower so she could wear high cut swimming costumes. She eventually had the sides removed permanently by laser treatment. Later, she took to dying her pubes to darken them so the carpet more closely matched the d****s.

Maybe ten or so years ago, we were on a nude beach in Greece. My wife pointed out to me that we were the only people there with pubic hair.
