My wife was traveling with and without the boss as an assistant to the management and therefore often had to stay in hotels (of the higher class). Most of the time the business partners were in the same accommodation, but not always. She had gotten into the habit of having a drink at the hotel bar after dinner and only then going to her room. She always dressed very conservatively, usually in a classic business suit and matching pumps. What is not necessarily apparent is that she hates tights, so she always wears StayUps or, rarely, stockings with a garter belt.
So there she was, sitting at the bar, when another guest sat down next to her and started flirting. She was happy for a change, so she went along with it. For some reason, her companion must have thought she was at the hotel for other reasons, and after quite some time he asked her, first obliquely, then more directly, how much a night with her would cost. She kept a straight face, as she had learned during long business meetings, because no one had ever offered her money. Basically, she was not averse to it; she liked him and it wouldn't be the first time. She had also had an affair with her boss for quite some time (thats another story), but she always told me about these adventures and I still have trust because of it. She asked him how much he was willing to pay. When he said 300, she didn't change her expression. He upped it to 500, 600, and when he said 800, she nodded. She told him that a maximum of an hour was fine and they went up to his room. She told me later that he was terribly nervous, came very quickly, and didn't make it a second time.
She left his room and went to her own, wondering what to do with the money. Finally, she decided to give it to the hotel staff and discreetly left a marked envelope at the front desk. She told me that she found it indecent to keep it.
