Sounds familiar. I think it's because after a while, one doesn't even notice anymore that one is topless/naked.
Reminds me of that 1st time my wife went naked at the sauna.
While changing out of her clothes, an older gentleman came back to get something in his locker.
She was just about to remove her bra. Then she pretended to look for something in her bag till he was gone.
It was kinda funny to watch, and when I asked her about it she said "I was not going to undress in front of that old guy".
