I would love to oblige but it would be playing with fire. Already I have said enough on here that if someone who knows me in real life reads some of my posts they could figure out who I am. There are probably not a lot of firefighters in a mountainous area of California who also own a large cattle ranch. Even if I obscured her face, our turnouts and rigs are unique enough that anyone from our area would be able to identify the department and by extension who the firefighter is. That would be a career ending move. Besides, with no face, you almost could not even tell she is female the structure gear (turnouts) are so bulky.

Funny you tell this story, my company just recently got a female probie assigned out here. We don't have a lot of females on the dept and while I've worked several shifts (trades/details/overtimes) on companies w women, I'd never been assigned on the same shift with one.

She is turning out to be pretty decent so far! Definitely makes for a different vibe on the shift though...
That is funny. Ours is turning out to be pretty good too. She is not our only female I have had one on my engine for several years. She just rotated to a different assignment and I got this one in her place. She is fun and jumps in with crude banter like one of the guys.

Out of curiosity, do you guys strip down to your under shorts putting on your structure gear? Does having the female there change things?
