I've actually snuck my wife's phone from her while she's been asleep. There's been some great things from her camera roll while she's been to bachelorette parties and such.
I've found TONS of mooning pics of her and her friends. The bride at one had her dress over her head and my wife decided it was funny enough to take a picture, I guess? Others of her and her friends on the toilet in public bathrooms. I also found stuff in her text threads.
The best way to save them is to open a private tab in the phones browser and then log into a Dropbox account and save them there. After you log out and close the tab, it's like you were never in her phone.
Never send them to yourself! If she has another device linked to her icloud, The photo texts you send yourself don't delete from the other device! Either that or take a picture of the screen with your phone. Less quality, but it's the least risky way.
